This exhibition explores both the visual and literary arts. The collaboration begins with a curated selection of visual artwork and then writers choose a piece as inspiration for their poetry or short prose. The visual and literary works are put on display together. Teresa C. Kinhart wrote a stunning short story for my photo.

Artist Statement
My photographs portray two subjects tied together by The Red Thread of Fate, which is an East Asian legend originating from Chinese mythology that believes that two people who are destined to be together are bound by an invisible red string throughout the entirety of their lives. It is believed the thread may tangle or stretch but it will never break, and my work shows two people that have become twisted within the string of fate that connects them, representing the confusion and discomfort that can occur throughout one’s lifetime when seeking true love. I chose to have the ends of the string not be visible within the images to represent endless situations when it comes to finding love that was or wasn’t meant to be.
